Nigra Persepolis

Your smile is so contemptuous
it seeps through your eyes
that are the shape of footballs
the kind the Americans devised.

Your eyes, they reek of agonizing mystery
Mysterious like flowing river
With no end and no beginning
with a little past, but more history

Troublesome, those troubled eyes
they make me wonder endlessly
However did they come to be
that they even did come to be

Your eyes, grey like dark monsoon clouds,
pregnant with disarming emotion;
conniving, piercing, charming, devout
a delightfully confusing concoction

Message In A Bottle

It lays exposed
hair, blood and bones
and flesh cut open into a few
bits and pieces for you to peruse
Do you see me now, girl?

Let me help you cover up
all that dirt and grime
(look how they rhyme!)
life once again is a bloom
That man, the hero, your groom

But like the pink elephant in the room
is something nagging at you?
What are you going to do?
My love, what are you going to do..

Look at that carcass, baby
Don't take your eyes away
if you look closely
you can see life fadin' away..

I hope you find peace
You deserve that at least
Let love envelope your soul
Be patient, kind and bold

Friend or Foe?

What do you mean to me?
Are you a friend or foe, dear friend?
Should I wallow in regret?
Should I cover my face in shame
for being led astray..
Just hold on a second, wait..!
Did I do the things you said?
Did I open the forbidden door
of passion and lust galore?
Did I set sail in the in the river of love
away from me, myself, alone?
Did I really set fire to you,
did I really have that glass of wine
that temptation, all too sweet and divine?
I see you now, dear stranger
passing visitor, crazy whore
Are you my friend or foe?
I'm not too sure anymore..
